On August 29th, Valley Forge Military Academy & College Cadets were seen helping out the local community of Wayne PA, by cleaning up debris left over from Hurricane Irene. Academy and College cadets were divided into five groups for “Operation Stickman” and they set off to help clear debris between Eagle Road, south to the Septa Train Station, east to Radnor Street Road, and west to North Wayne Avenue. The school pick up trucks followed to collect and dispose of the debris.
College freshman, Plebe Edward Blair from Ridgewood, NJ states, “After seeing the expression on the residents’ faces, it warmed my heart to provide assistance. One random act of kindness a day can help change the world.” Plebe Blair was proud of the difference he was making, he felt rewarded because of the appreciation of their hard-working efforts from the community.
