The Forge Fund
Representing the loyalty of more than 1,400 donors every year,
The Forge Fund is an integral part of the institution’s
overall fundraising efforts. The Forge Fund draws upon a
pool of alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff
to provide Valley Forge Military Academy & College with an
unwavering foundation of financial support. Every gift, from $5 to $5 million, is important to our cadets.
Every gift counts!
More than a just a collection of gifts, The Forge Fund
is a catalyst for turning individual generosity into a
collective energy. Rest assured that the combined gifts of
the individuals who support The Forge Fund have altered the
landscape of VFMA&C and had a lasting impact on the lives of
the many cadets who have walked the campus.
We are truly grateful to all those who support The Forge
Fund and embrace the role it plays in strengthening the enduring
ties between VFMA&C and its cadets, parents, alumni, friends,
faculty and staff.
A year-long effort, the Reunion Giving Program is designed to
encourage increased participation and giving among those classes
celebrating a reunion at Homecoming Weekend in April.
Arranging a corporate matching gift is an easy way for VFMA&C
alumni, parents and friends to increase the impact of their
personal contributions. By taking advantage of their company's
matching gift benefit, a donor can generate an additional gift
which may double or triple his or her own contribution without
any further obligation from the donor.
The Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) is one of those programs that sound too good to be true; fulfill your state tax burden while supporting scholarship aid at VFMA&C. Tax credits are available to any type or size Pennsylvania business contributing to an approved Scholarship Organization, like Valley Forge Military Academy & College, through the EITC program. Tax credits may be applied against the tax liability of a business for the tax year in which the contribution was made.
How are The Forge Fund unrestricted contributions used?
Through The Forge Fund, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends
have an enormous impact on the financial health of the institution,
providing needed funds for the operating budget, which directly
impacts the living and learning environment of our most important
asset...our cadets.
Unrestricted contributions to The Forge Fund allow VFMA&C to
use the money where the need is greatest. Technology upgrades,
campus maintenance issues and scholarship assistance are just a
few examples of how gifts are used. These gifts allow the
institution to address daily operating costs that are associated
with VFMA&C.
Every donor, making a gift of any size, has an opportunity to
share in this significant undertaking. Every gift counts!

What are matching gifts?
Many corporations match the gifts their employees give to
non-profit and charitable organizations. These matching programs
have been made part of many corporate giving initiatives both to
extend the reach of corporate giving and to encourage employees to
be actively involved in supporting their communities. Your company's
personnel or human resources office can provide information on how
to process a matching gift.
Can I restrict my gift to an area of interest?
VFMA&C prefers unrestricted gifts that can be used in areas of
the greatest need, however you may prefer to direct where your
gift is used.

Reunion Giving
The Reunion Giving Program is a year-long project designed to
encourage increased awareness and giving among those classes
planning a reunion in April. These campaigns provide an opportunity
for classes to have a direct impact on VFMA&C, encouraging increased
class participation and gift upgrades. Often, reunion gifts campaigns
renew class spirit and drive record giving levels for those classes
involved.

Many companies sponsor matching gift programs to encourage
employees to support their colleges and universities. To find
