Ways To Give
Outright Gifts: Outright gifts provide direct
and immediate support to VFMA&C, usually in the form of cash (via credit card,
check, or electronic transfer) or publicly traded securities. Donors generally
qualify for tax deductions. Outright gifts of closely held stock, real estate
or other property may also be made. Please consult with a member of the
institution’s development staff before donating real property or closely
held stock. Make your gift
online today or
call the Development Office at (610) 989-1336 or mail to 1001 Eagle Road,
Wayne, PA 19087. Please make all checks payable to VFMA&C Foundation.
Securities: Increasing numbers
of alumni and friends are making gifts to VFMA&C using appreciated securities,
including stock, bonds, and mutual funds. A donor is entitled to take a charitable
deduction for the full fair-market value of appreciated securities held longer
than one year and usually avoids paying the capital gains tax that would be due
if the donor sold the securities. For details and bank information, please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement & Development at (610) 989-1336.
Pledges: Pledges allow donors
to make generous commitments over a period of up to five years. Payment
schedules are flexible and can be set up by contacting the Office of Institutional Advancement & Development at (610) 989-1336.
Matching Gift Program: Arranging a
corporate match gift is an easy way for VFMA&C alumni, parents, grandparents,
and friends to increase the impact of their personal contributions. By taking
advantage of their company’s matching gift benefit, a donor can generate an
additional gift which may double or triple his or her own contribution without
any further obligation from the donor.
Bequests: Bequests are made
through a donor's will, trust, or retirement plan and can be a crucial
source of support for VFMA&C. For more information, please call the
Development Office at (610) 989-1336.
Planned Gifts: A planned gift
supports Valley Forge Military Academy and College goals while meeting a
donor's financial needs. Such gifts are often structured to provide income
to the donor, family members, or friends for life or a period of years.
Each planned gift option has certain tax and investment advantages. Ask
your financial adviser and a member of the Development staff for help in
structuring a planned gift to meet your financial and philanthropic
objectives. Contact the Development Office at (610) 989-1336.
Naming Opportunities: VFMA&C
offers naming opportunities for scholarship funds, faculty chairs,
academic initiatives, and selected campus buildings and rooms. These
may be named for the donor, a family member, or another person the donor
wishes to honor creating a lasting legacy while addressing a vital
institutional need. Contact the Development Office at (610) 989-1336.

Valley Forge lets you reconnect with fellow alumni and have a great time
