The Forge Fund
The 2011-2012 Forge Fund was a success! With the support of alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, friends, corporations and foundations, VFMA&C raised over $1,400,000. Thank you for your participation and for your generous support! Those making a gift of $1,000 and above are honored at the annual Golden Sword Reception and their names will be listed on the donor boards in Eisenhower Hall. Those who make gifts totaling $1,000 and above, cumulatively, i.e., lifetime, will also have his or her name listed on the recognition donor boards in Eisenhower Hall. The Forge Fund recognition societies for yearly giving are:
|The Magis Society||$25,000+|
|Trustee’s Circle||$10,000 – $24,999|
|President’s Circle||$5,000 – $9,999|
|Commandant’s Circle||$2,500 – $4,999|

|Shako Club||$25 – $99|
|Contributing Members||$1 – $24|
Occurring all year, every year, beginning July 1 and ending June 30, The Forge Fund sustains the “best institution of its kind in the world.” Dollars raised through The Forge Fund are applied to VFMA&C’s most urgent needs. While tuition income supports 70% of VFMA&C’s operating costs, 30% are underwritten by gifts to restricted funds and The Forge Fund.
The Reunion Program is designed to encourage increased participation and giving among alumni classes celebrating a five-year reunion in 2013. This year, Reunion Weekend is Friday, April 26 – Sunday, April 28, 2013. (Reunion classes this year end in a ’3′ or ’8′.)
While unrestricted gifts are of the most critical need, please know that you may designate your gift to any area of campus life. Designated gifts help reduce the budgetary obligations of VFMA&C.
