The Associate of Science in Health Sciences Program at VFMC provides students with the opportunity to take prerequisite courses leading to a variety of health sciences majors and career fields. In addition to pursuing the VFMC core liberal arts curriculum, which includes two semesters of mathematics, students are offered courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Nutrition and Psychology. Upon graduation from VFMC’s Health Sciences Associate degree program, students are prepared to transfer into four year bachelor degree programs in majors such as Nursing, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Occupational Therapy, and others.
