Cadet Life

While Valley Forge is committed to providing a quality education, there is also plenty of time for fun! As our current cadets would quickly tell you, life at VFMC is rarely boring!

Our campus environment is incredibly dynamic, offering a full range of campus activities, extracurricular organizations, and special events. Our range of cadet extracurricular activities is unsurpassed by any other military school.

Academic Clubs

Many academic departments feature clubs that allow you to explore your favorite subjects in greater detail. The clubs plan field trips, guest speakers, and other activities that bring academic disciplines to life, foster interaction with faculty, and help you form valuable professional networks.

Religious Life

The Sunday Chapel Service is central to cadet life at VFMA&C. While Christian in format, the service is nondenominational and features guest speakers who address values and character development.

In addition to the weekly Sunday morning service on campus, Protestant cadets may attend an Episcopal Eucharist Service in our Chapel on Wednesdays at noon. For Catholic cadets, Mass is celebrated in the Chapel on Sunday afternoons at 5 p.m. Arrangements are also made for Catholic, Muslim and Jewish cadets to observe holy days at Valley Forge or at an appropriate, nearby location. VFMA&C provides transportation.

The R. Michael Arnovitz chapter of the Jewish fellowship group meets on campus weekly. A Christian fellowship group, a Catholic fellowship group, a Muslim fellowship group and a Newman Club for Catholic college cadets also meet regularly.

Other Options

  • Our campus location is perfect - quiet and secluded, just minutes from shops, theaters, restaurants, the King of Prussia Mall (one of the East Coast's largest), and a Main Line connection that can take you to Philadelphia attractions in about 30 minutes.
  • Valley Forge has access to a variety of mixers, socials and special events with neighboring colleges and universities.
  • Hiking, biking and other outdoor recreation is just minutes away at the Valley Forge National Historical Park.
  • Many cadets assist with community service efforts throughout Philadelphia.
  • Some student organizations travel within and beyond the U.S. Selected college cadets in the Army ROTC program, for example, recently conducted leadership training Germany and Korea.
