Institutional Advancement & Development
|Mr. Douglas B. Hasbrouck is the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Development for the organization. He started at Valley Forge Military Academy & College in July 2013. In this role, Hasbrouck oversees Valley Forge’s fundraising, development, and alumni relations efforts.
“Doug brings over 25 years of experience in higher education fundraising, as well as a robust knowledge of philanthropy nationally and internationally,” said Dr. Stacey R. Sauchuk, President. “We are confident that he is the right person for the job, to help us attain our future advancement objectives.”
Hasbrouck has served as Associate Chief Development Officer for Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Under his leadership, he managed major giving initiatives in the U.S. and Europe, supervised a total of 11 staff including: Planned Giving, Prospect Management & Research, Donor Relations, Stewardship, and Campaign and Development Writer, initiated development of a more robust, staff-led major gifts effort in advance of their new fundraising campaign, and served as Chief of Staff to the College’s Chief Development Officer.
Hasbrouck’s distinguished career also includes fundraising and development positions with other colleges in Pennsylvania including: Director of Alumni Relations and the Annual Fund, Widener University; Director of Annual Funds, Director of Development Services, Associate Director of Capital Giving, Swarthmore College; and Director of Development – Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research, Senior Development Officer, Director of Principal Gifts, Bryn Mawr College.
