Message from the President

At Valley Forge Military Academy & College our cadets are our most important asset and our number one priority. This multi-faceted institution has been providing young people with the guidance and encouragement they need to reach beyond their potential for 80 years.

The Academy is a college preparatory school with a military tradition. We provide an environment which transforms and maximizes potential, teaching our young people to be disciplined and focused, while maintaining a high sense of duty, honor, loyalty and courage.

Some of our distinguished alumni include General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, three-time Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Edward F. Albee and former US Senator Warren B. Rudman. Others have gone on to become Rhodes Scholars, White House Fellows, Grammy winners, professional athletes, and influential business and military leaders. A study by Korn/Ferry International shows the leadership skills learned in military training enhance success in corporate life. The CEO’s interviewed for this study revealed six leadership traits that have served them well in the boardroom: working as part of a team, planning and organizational skills, strong communication skills, defining a goal and motivating others to follow, ability to remain calm under pressure and a highly developed sense of ethics. It is no surprise that over 33% of VFMA&C graduates are entrepreneurs.

We understand that there are many dimensions to a well-rounded education. Since 1928, Valley Forge has been committed to a character-based education built on the foundation we call the “five cornerstones” - academic excellence, character development, personal motivation, physical development and leadership. By following the five cornerstones, our dedicated faculty and staff strive to educate the whole person.

Our Academy provides young men with countless opportunities, both in and outside the classroom, to help them develop into motivated, focused, successful young adults. We boast that 98% of our Academy cadets achieve college placement into their first or second choice college.

Our College is a unique co-educational option if your son or daughter is looking to transfer to a four-year college or if they aspire to attend one of the service academies. If a military career is something that interests them, we are proud to be one of only five colleges in the country to offer the US Army ROTC Early Commissioning Program. An impressive 99% of our college cadets transfer to four-year colleges or universities.

All cadets are provided a living and learning environment that extends beyond the classroom. Music is paramount to developing their skills, so our cadets have the opportunity to participate in the world-renown Regimental Band, the Regimental Choir or the Drum & Bugle Corps. There are a variety of varsity sports offered, including nationally-ranked polo and equestrian teams and a football team which has sent 13 of its players into the NFL. We offer many club opportunities focusing on the arts, sciences, community service and spiritual development.

There is so much that VFMA&C has to offer your son or daughter; I urge you to look through the website and see for yourself. Learn more about this wonderfully unique place and find out what truly makes it the finest institution of its kind in the world.
