VFMA Academic Scholarships: promote and reward outstanding academic achievement of students applying to the school. The award is given based on an applicant’s Grade Point Average (GPA). For quick reference, use this chart to find your academic scholarship based on GPA.
|Academic Merit Award|
|3.70 and up||$10,000 – $12,000|
Service Award: Awarded to students or dependents of U.S. military veterans, police officers, paramedics, and firefighters. Other “service related” positions may be considered. If qualified, students will be eligible for a Valley Forge grant of up to $12,000.
Legacy Alumni Scholarship: Awarded to applicants with a relative who is an Alumnus of Valley Forge Military Academy & College. The award is $10,000 in a Valley Forge Military Academy grant each year that the student attends VFMA.
NewDay USA Scholarship: This scholarship is funded by New Day USA, a private mortgage firm that has close military ties to its organization. The NewDay USA Foundation will award an applicant a scholarship ranging from $10,000-$15,000, who has a mother, father, or guardian who has been killed in action during a line of military service, or has been left 100% disabled. Valley Forge Military Academy will match NewDay’s award in the form of a grant. In addition, all applicants MUST have a 3.2 GPA or higher. The scholarship recipients are chosen by the Foundation each June.
Regimental Band Scholarship: Students who are interested in participating in the VFMAC Regimental Band may be eligible for the Valley Forge Band Scholarship. Students must successfully complete an audition with the Valley Forge Regimental Band Director. Qualified students will be eligible for a Valley Forge Band Scholarship of up to $12,000.
Scouting Award: Awarded to applicants who are active members of the Boy Scouts of America. These young men exhibit the qualities that VFMA wants to enroll, and therefore are included in our scholarship pool. The award is $10,000 in a Valley Forge Military Academy grant each year that the student attends VFMA.
Valley Forge offers over forty scholarships provided by our friends and patrons. These awards provide assistance with varying need-based and/or merit-based criteria as specified by the donor. New and returning students are awarded endowed scholarships based on information received during the application process.
