America’s two-year colleges create value in many ways – they are a primary source of education, & promote significant economic growth in the U.S. Associate-degree holders can expect to earn $41,900 per year by the middle of their careers, about $10,700 more than someone with just a high-school diploma earns at that point, according to a recent study by Economic Modeling Specialists International. The Semester for the COllege Preparedness Experience Program (SCOPE) is a one semester intensive remedial program, combing skills’ development in math, reading, writing, and organizational skills in a cohort model learning environment.

The program helps to promote the success of the students and prepare them for the demands of college.   The goal is to provide students with a program that intensely targets the necessary skills needed to successfully progress through an associate degree program.

Students will take developmental English and Math along with a Seminar Course that hones reading skills and refines time management and study skills.  Students enrolled in the SCOPE program also take six credits of college level work.
