Valley Forge Military College Partners with Albright College for Dual Admission

Valley Forge Military College (VFMC) and Albright College recently signed an agreement to officially partner for dual admission. This allows VFMC cadets who complete their associate’s degrees at the two-year private college to transfer to Albright, where they can finish the remaining coursework needed to earn bachelor’s degrees. The program is now available to prospective VFMC students.

“We are very pleased to offer this opportunity to our cadets,” said Maureen Malone, dean of VFMC. “Our goal has always been to offer a unique, exceptional educational experience to our students, and Albright College will help us in the pursuit of that goal.”

A private liberal arts college known for its individualized programs, Albright will allow VFMC transfer students to apply general education credits from VFMC’s various associate programs to selected fields of study at the college. Eligible VFMC courses must have quality grades – A, B, C, inclusive of a C- – to successfully transfer credits to Albright College.

Albright will also offer the opportunity for VFMC dual admission students to take one tuition-free course per year in Albright’s traditional undergraduate program and to earn merit-based scholarships. Merit scholarships are available to dual admission graduates from VFMC who enroll as full-time day students and whose final VFMC grade point average is 2.5 or higher.

“We are proud to partner with Valley Forge Military College,” said Jennifer Williamson, director of admission at Albright College. “The dual admission program affords us the great opportunity to accept diverse students of academic promise who bring unique perspectives to our campus.”
