Valley Forge Military Academy, a private, independent college preparatory school for boys in grades 7 through 12, today announced it will be awarding between 12 and 20 new Grants and Cory Stein Memorial Scholarships of $25,000 to $35,000 each, based on financial need, to new applicants this upcoming academic year. Ideal applicants are striving students with demonstrated family financial need for fall 2020 enrollment to 9th, 10th and 11th grades, renewable through graduation from Valley Forge Military Academy. UPDATE: Availible for 10th and 11th grades for 2021 School Year. 

These scholarships, to be known as Cory Stein Memorial Scholarships, are being funded by Kenneth Stein in memory of his son, Cory Stein, who recently passed away at the age of 47. Cory was an attorney, family therapist, adventurer, martial artist and a soldier of fortune, who was deployed by agencies of the U.S. government and defense contractors to Iraq, Afghanistan and other international hot spots. Cory was a world traveler and a highly respected gentle warrior. Cory’s nephew is currently completing 11th grade at Valley Forge Military Academy.

Helgeson, USMCR (Ret), President of Valley Forge Military Academy and College. “This program is about opportunity. The opportunity for students to attend  our Academy who would otherwise would not be able to attend without the aid of a scholarship. Interested students must register to attend Valley Forge Military Academy by completing an application for admission and financial aid, and an application for this grant and scholarship program. These applications can be found online at www.vfmac.edu/stein. In order to qualify, applicants must submit all required information and documents no later than July 1, 2020.
