VFMC Army ROTC Unveils New Cadet Performance Center



On August 26, 2019, the new Army ROTC Cadet Performance Center was officially opened for use by the cadets who are participants in the Early Commissiong Program (ECP) at Valley Forge Military College.
The Army has placed an increased emphasis on injury prevention and combat readiness through a focus on functional fitness and the implementation fo the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT). By October 2020, the Army will introduce a new six event physical fitness test that is significantly different than their current test.
This area provides the ECP cadets an all-weather space that allows them to train and get ready for the new ACFT.
The 3,250 square foot Cadet Performance Center includes:
- 35 yards of artificial turf surface for sprints, sled push/drag and tire flipping
- 24′ fitness rack system with 16 pull up stations and 6 lifting platforms
- Multiple weight lifting areas
- Two Cybex treadmills and Two Concept 2 rowing machines
