Valley Forge Military Academy and College
Student Grievance Form
All students in the Valley Forge Military College community have the right to express a grievance when they allege they have been treated in a manner not consistent with the community standards at the college. A grievance may involve a violation of college policy or procedure or improper, unfair, or arbitrary treatment. Students wishing to file a grievance against a faculty member, staff member, or administrator should seek counsel from the Grievance Officer.
In accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (SaVE), VFMAC prohibits its faculty, staff and students from engaging in any form of harassment and/or discrimination, including acts of sexual violence. We expect all members of the VFMAC community to refrain from committing acts of bias or sexual violence as these sexual misconduct offenses jeopardize the health and welfare of our employees and students. In compliance with federal and state law and VFMAC policy, VFMAC maintains a process to provide redress and remediation to individuals or groups who believe they have been the victim of sexual misconduct (e.g., sex/gender-based discrimination and/or harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and/or stalking).
VFMAC prohibits retaliation against an individual who in good faith files a complaint and/or participates in any investigation related to an allegation of prohibited harassment or discrimination.
