Valley Forge Army ROTC
Why Army ROTC?
College cadets enrolled in Army ROTC learn how to succeed in any competitive environment.
Cadets participating in the Military Science and Leadership curriculum enjoy many benefits, which may include help with college tuition, acquisition of professional military skills, practical experience in group leadership dynamics, and the respect of future employers.
Simply participating in the ROTC program does not commit a cadet to serve in the U.S. Army. We suggest taking some classes to see if Army ROTC is something you are interested in. Cadets can take the first two years of Army ROTC without any service obligation or contract.
Army ROTC Time Commitment
In addition to classroom instruction, the ROTC Leadership Laboratory is a weekly 3-hour period of practical instruction integral to the Military Science and Leadership curriculum. It is conducted Thursday mornings with the objective being to provide practical application of classroom instruction in a simulated leadership environment.
Students who are interested in participating in Army ROTC, but do not receive a U.S. Army ROTC Scholarship, may be eligible for the Valley Forge ROTC Grant. Students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5, SAT 1000 (Math and Verbal) or ACT 17. Students will be eligible for a Valley Forge grant of up to $12,000. Renewable each academic year with a 2.0 GPA. Combined awards cannot exceed $15,000 per academic year.
The Army ROTC department at Valley Forge Military College is located on the Valley Forge Military College campus in Shannon Hall. We serve Valley Forge Military College, Cabrini College, Eastern University, and Rosemont College.
The Recruiting and Enrollment Officer is Ms. Karen Fluck. Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org and she can be reached by phone at (610) 989-1445.
