A Foundation for the Rest of Your Life.
There will be a day, at Valley Forge, when you forget how tough the early morning run is; on that day you will be thinking about something else – how great it is to be a part of something that is more than just a school – because you’ll be part of a family, one with the structure and discipline to teach you how to be better than you ever thought you could be; and to love the things that will bring you success in life.
Welcome to Valley Forge…
Pride In Achievement
Admission to Valley Forge Military Academy is competitive. Valley Forge Military Academy seeks to enroll young men of sound moral character who possess strong scholastic, mental and physical qualities. This is what it takes to succeed in a rigorous college preparatory environment and become a VFMA cadet. In particular, we look for those who are motivated to achieve their full potential and go on to succeed at top U.S. colleges and universities.

Follow these steps to apply:
1. Campus Visit and Tour
All prospective cadets/candidates should schedule an applicant visit and tour of the campus. Applicant visits are held on an appointment basis Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. When necessary, an applicant’s visit may be scheduled on Saturday by appointment. Because VFMA is best understood when classes are in session, we encourage families to visit during a weekday. While daily visits are encouraged, large campus visitations are available for those wanting learn more about the opportunities at VFMA.
Complete the application entirely and submit to VFMA with application fee. Click here to access the online application, or a mailed copy may be requested by calling 610-989-1303. Once the completed application and fee have been received, the candidate’s file becomes active. VFMA will send a request for transcripts and evaluation forms to candidate’s present school. Please note: an acceptance decision cannot be rendered until VFMA is in receipt of this information.
We are currently accepting applications for January and September. Submit your application today.
Formal Decision: Candidate and family will be informed periodically of the status of his file. Once complete, it will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee. Written notification of the decision will be mailed.
Wait List: When enrollment reaches capacity, pending applicants will be placed on a wait list and kept informed.
Acceptance: Upon notification of acceptance, family will submit a $500 validation fee to be credited toward tuition.
All VFMA applicants must submit their most recent standardized test scores administered by their school or state. Applicants can submit SSAT (Secondary School Admissions Test) or ISEE (Independent Schools Entrance Exam) results.
The following information is provided to assist you with the application process:
SAT / ACT Codes for Prospective Academy Students:

4. Post-Acceptance Medical Requirements
Physical Examination: All students are required to have a recent (within the last six months) physical examination completed by a physician and submitted to the VFMA Health Center prior to arrival at VFMA. The physical examination may be arranged with the Health Center. All immunizations must be updated and records submitted with the physical exam.
Medications: If the candidate is on medication, the prescribing physician must supply written verification on letterhead stationary that describes the type, dosage and reason for all medications taken.
Counseling/Therapy: Any candidate who has ever been involved in or is presently under the care of any directed or voluntary counseling or therapy program must have a written clinical summary submitted by the psychologist or psychiatrist.

Upon receipt of an application, Valley Forge will request transcripts and teacher evaluations from the applicant’s school.
